Tom Brosz actually is a rocket scientist (sort of), having worked for years with the private space industry as a systems designer. He also wrote and published a newsletter on the private space industry back before private space travel was cool.

With his wife Judy, he helped raise the real Katie and Zach.

Castle Falcon, his first novel, is based on stories he told his children, along with the fantasy and science fiction adventures he loved when he was young.
